Commission a painting

I paint comissions on a variety of subjects. Below are the prices for pet and people portraits.
Other subjects will be similar prices according to size. Please send me a message for more information.
  • How it works - Portraits

  • 1. Choose your best photos of your pet or person. (please see below for photo requirements)
    2. Choose the size you would like.
    3. Email your photos in Jpeg format.
  • 4. We can discuss any requirements before starting the painting. Backgrounds are usually plain but if you would like a detailed background we can discuss this too. If you would like more than one subject painted, they don't have to be in the same photo.
    4. Your painting will usually be completed within 2 weeks. If you would like your painting urgently please contact me and I will try to accommodate this.
  • 5. When your painting is complete I will email you a photo and you can tell me any minor changes that you would like.
    6. Once you are happy, payments can be made by cheque, bank transfer or via Paypal.
    7. I will package and send your painting through Royal Mail recorded delivery.

  • Tips for taking photos for your painting

  • - It is important that you send a good quality photo. The higher the resolution of the photo, the better it will be for me to work with.
  • - Try taking photos at your subjects level, not looking down or up with the camera.
  • - Take photos outside or in a well lit room without flash as natural light will produce better results.
  • - Photos should be well focused with your subject taking up as much of the photo as possible.

If you are unsure of which photo will make the best painting I will be happy to help you choose.
